What is a Roomorama? Well it is just one more source for you to find a cheap place to stay for a vacation. Roomorama offers you 200,000 short term home rentals worldwide. If you’re not sure where to stay, they’ve created neighborhood guides for cities all around the world.

As far as the types of accommodations that are available to you, i have listed them below:

  • Bedroom (a bedroom in a shared apartment or house)
  • House ( a whole building available for a group of guest, family, friends)
  • Apartments
  • B&B (Bed and Breakfast)
  • Hotel
  • Hostel

Searching for rooms in Romorama is very easy and simple. You have the opportunity to select the type of housing you want included in your search. After you have chosen your dream location, you pay for the booking and wait for the host to accept it. Once your booking has been accepted, you present your 6-digit code when checking in. Please note the Host has 48 hrs to accept. If for some reason she doesn’t then that booking will be canceled and you are free to look for another one.

  4. Wow, there’s lots of these travelling websites nowadays, very similar to Airbnb, thanks for sharing another one 🙂

  5. yes, I discuss Airbnb also in previous reviews. You are right to a certain extent, but the site that you go through for these rentals also do their share of pre-qualifying people, plus you can look at the many reviews of people that have stayed before. I would feel quite comfortable at most of the places I have viewed. I only post places and companies that I would use myself.

  6. Hi Lureita,

Reading this review reminds me of AirBnb. You get to experience many local settings through this kind of services. An ideal choice for travelers who are leaning towards the budget side.

However, it is important to check the background and reviews of the hosts or accommodation to avoid getting into logistics or payment troubles. Just my two cents 🙂

  7. Erica, it really is, as are many more I have discussed and will be adding more. There is no reason for a person not to be able to take a great vacation to any destination. I hope you will visit again.

  14. Hi!
I had no idea this existed! Thanks for sharing it. So is it a site like or the ones where they have cheap hotels you sort of bid on? It seems to me like everyone should know about this. Hotels and accommodations can be sooo expensive. I am lucky enough to have a sister who works for a hotel chain so I get discounts but otherwise, it is very expensive

  16. Thanks for this awesome reference. I’m looking for the best way to get away this summer. I really like the idea of renting a house! This would make for a much better experience then the traditional hotel or resort.

    This is exciting!

  17. I honestly cannot find an expiration date. It is still valid, though. I will share another secret I use for finding discount codes to use on any site. Look up the name and then discounts after it, ex: Roomorama discounts. If any are available, they will show up. You can do this for almost anything.

They are so much friendlier, and you get to meet some fantastic people. I will have to bookmark this, as my husband does have an out of town trip to book soon. Do you know how long the 20% off code lasts for?

  20. Looks like I found this site at just the right time. Im going out of town next month so I can definitely use this. Funny how things come to you right when you need them sometimes.

Do you happen to know if the $20 off coupon code is still active?

    Thanks, Brad
